Our Role as a Venue

Mapletasker is an online platform that serves as a venue to connect individuals or entities seeking to have household services performed (“Askers”) with individuals or entities seeking to provide household services (“Taskers”).

You acknowledge and agree that Mapletasker  is not a party to any service agreement between Askers and Taskers. Our role is strictly limited to providing a platform for you to connect. We do not process payments, hire Taskers, or guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of services advertised or provided.

General Terms for All Users (Askers and Taskers)

• You agree to use the website in compliance with all applicable laws and not to engage in any activity that could damage or disrupt the website or its services.

• Mapletasker makes no guarantees, warranties, or endorsements regarding the skills, reliability, quality, insurance status, or conduct of any Asker or Tasker. Users are encouraged to conduct their own due diligence before entering into any agreement.

• Any disagreements, conflicts, or disputes arising between an Asker and a Tasker must be settled directly between the involved parties. Mapletasker will not mediate or be held responsible for resolving such disputes.

• You agree to indemnify and hold Mapletasker, its affiliates, and its employees harmless from any claims, damages, or losses arising from your use of the website or from any dispute or interaction with other users.

• Mapletasker will not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (including property damage, personal injury, theft, or financial loss) resulting from your use of the platform or from any services arranged through it.

• Mapletasker is intended to be a marketplace for individual service providers and small, local businesses. The platform is not designed for large-scale commercial contractors, construction companies, or managed contracting firms. Mapletasker reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to determine whether a Tasker’s operation aligns with the platform’s intended scope and may limit or remove accounts that are deemed to be large-scale commercial operations.

Terms and Conditions for Taskers

As a Tasker, you are an independent service provider using Mapletasker as an advertising platform to connect with Askers. By creating a profile, you agree to the following:

• You are responsible for the content of your profile. You must provide accurate and non-misleading descriptions of your skills, qualifications, experience, and any relevant licenses or insurance.

• You acknowledge that any service agreement, including the scope of work, timeline, and pricing, is a binding contract made directly with the Asker. Mapletasker is not a party to this agreement.

• All payment arrangements must be negotiated and handled directly between you and the Asker. Mapletasker does not provide a payment gateway, is not responsible for collecting fees, and does not guarantee payment from any Asker.

• You agree to communicate and conduct yourself in a professional and respectful manner when interacting with Askers.

• Askers may rate and review your services. You acknowledge that these public reviews may impact your ability to attract future Askers.

• You are solely responsible for your own safety and conduct while performing tasks. This includes using proper safety equipment and holding appropriate insurance. You are liable for any damage or injury you may cause.

• Mapletasker reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at its sole discretion for violating these terms, receiving consistently poor reviews, or engaging in unprofessional or illegal conduct.

Terms and Conditions for Askers

As an Asker, you are using Mapletasker to find and connect with independent Taskers for your household needs. By using the platform, you agree to the following:

• You are responsible for vetting, interviewing, and selecting a Tasker that meets your needs. Mapletasker does not perform background checks and does not guarantee the qualifications of any Tasker.

• Service Agreements: You acknowledge that any agreement for services is made directly between you and the Tasker. Mapletasker is not a party to this agreement and does not guarantee the outcome or quality of the work performed.

• All payment arrangements must be negotiated and handled directly between you and the Tasker. Mapletasker does not process payments and is not responsible for any disputes related to payment amounts, methods, or timing.

• You agree to communicate your needs clearly and treat Taskers in a professional and respectful manner.

• Any cancellation policies or fees must be agreed upon directly with your chosen Tasker. Mapletasker does not enforce or mediate cancellation disputes.

• After a task is completed, you are encouraged to provide honest and fair feedback about the Tasker to help maintain the integrity of the platform.

• Mapletasker reserves the right to terminate your account if you violate these terms, misuse the platform, or engage in inappropriate conduct.
